About Your Candidate

History

With over a decade of dedicated service in law enforcement, I have spent two transformative years at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, seven impactful years at the Carson Sheriff Station serving as both a patrol deputy and a training officer, and one critical year as a Detective at Operation Safe Streets. This journey has not merely been a career for me; it has been a calling—one that I have embraced wholeheartedly and one that continues to

inspire me every single day.

Mission

As the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, my mission is to ensure the safety and security of all residents by fostering a community-oriented approach to law enforcement. I am dedicated to serving with integrity and transparency, building trust through open communication and community engagement. Together, we will address public safety challenges, promote crime prevention, and uphold the principles of justice and equity for every individual in our diverse county.

    Fight Against Homelessness

Effective policing plays a crucial role in creating safer communities by fostering trust and collaboration between law enforcement and residents. When police officers engage proactively with community members, addressing their concerns and working to prevent crime, it leads to a stronger sense of security. Additionally, transparent and fair policing practices help build confidence in the justice system, encouraging citizens to report crimes and collaborate with law enforcement.

It is essential that we advocate for comprehensive solutions that address not only the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness but also the root causes, such as affordable housing, mental health services, and job training programs. Together, we must work to create an inclusive society where everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.

The police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
